The Bootloader framework provides a standardized environment to little web application and cares for deployment, rendering and handling of visually relevant events.
Through a simple declarative interface, your Widget tells Intermedia whether it needs to be refreshed when the browser's page orientation changes or the window is resized, or if your widget shall only be rendered when it is scrolled into view.
This saves bandwidth, as only content that is visually relevant, is transmitted; speeds up the page display, because the page itself has less weight; and gives you unique possibilites for tracking your users behaviour on the page to determine which content is relevant and which is not.
The standardized environment provides basic functionalities, such as message passing, page geometry determination, and dynamic dependency management for CSS and SCRIPT ressources.
Intermedia takes care for your imaging power on the server, so you don't have to rely on browser plugin technology or scaling functionality within the browser. We recommend using modern JavaScript paradigms, HTML and HTML5 elements and CSS functionalities. This already is a powerful and fun to develop environment. Browser incompatibilities are well handled either by the environment provided by our Bootloader or state-of-the-art 3rd party client-side libraries. Intermedia Fotoficient is thoroughly tested with jQuery and ExtJS and operates well with other popular JavaScript frameworks.
To effectively use the framework functionalities and bring you up to speed, we provide all major blocks and examples as open source. The code is well documented and has lots of nifty features, which you can switch on or off just by using the configurational options.
The screen and UI design is of course customizable.
